PEFORMANCE RAT TERRIERS

Rat terriers are a breed that is growing in popularity in the performance/sport dog community!  There are many representatives of the breed competing in a huge variety of performance events with great success.  Plenty are enthusiastic, driven, intelligent, and trainable partners, and are versatile enough to transition between different sports each weekend!

We love seeing all rat terriers succeed, but are particularly proud of the dogs we've bred who are having success in performance events!  Our puppies have trained, competed, and/or titled in events including agility, obedience, lure coursing ability, fast CAT, canine good citizen, barn hunt, tracking, and others!  Our ideal dog is one that can win in the show ring AND show off his skills in performance events, all while being a devoted companion and maintaining appropriate hunting drive!

Our puppies are raised from day one with the goal of shaping performance prospects, and we evaluate their suitability for particular performance events throughout growth.  Puppies are exposed to a variety of new experiences and situations while in our care, all designed to produce well rounded and adaptable partners.
