"Basil"

Basil is a high drive show and performance son of Gilly and Traveler.  He earned his AKC championship at 8 months old with his grand championship to follow, and also has his UKC championship. In addition to his success in the show ring Basil has competed and titled in numerous performance sports including agility, rally, obedience, lure coursing, and trick dog.  He is an intense, focused worker who is always game to try something new!  Basil has also worked as a practicing therapy dog on many occasions.  He is very loyal and devoted to his family, and confident out and about in a variety of settings.

Maintaining appropriate prey drive is important to our program, and Basil does not let us down.  He is a determined hunter of rats, squirrels, possums, and other vermin.  Basil is a proven sire, and has produced some very nice puppies  He was awarded Best Stud Dog at the 2018 RTCA National Specialty!  Basil also competed in veterans at the 2022 RTCA national.  He was awarded best veteran in sweeps, best veteran, and award of merit!  We are very proud of his accomplishments as a stud dog, having produced very well when bred to both our own girls and outside females. Basil is available for stud services to approved females.
